What you are buying
Six ways a sweater is put together
Cable and twist
Rows twisted over each other so the front has depth without a pattern printed on it. It reads as considered when you take a blazer off and stay in the sweater.
Waffle and grid
A raised square texture across the face of the knit. Warm without the bulk of a winter layer, and it does not flatten into looking like a sweatshirt.
Ribbed
Vertical ribs with stretch, so the body gives when you reach across a desk. Thin ribs layer under a jacket; chunky ribs hold heat on their own.
Fair Isle and argyle
Patterned bands knitted into the garment rather than printed on top, on the vests, the Nordic turtlenecks and the holiday styles.
Openings that matter
Quarter-zip, half-zip, full-zip, button front, shawl collar, henley placket. The opening is what decides whether a sweater works over a shirt or over a tee.
What we will not claim
We do not publish fibre percentages, wash-test results or fit claims we cannot verify with the maker. If a detail is missing from a product page, ask us and we will find out before you order.
Before you order
Getting the size right the first time
Most styles here run Small, Medium, Large and 2XL. A few run a shorter set, there is no X-Large anywhere in the range, and some colours do not come in every size - the selector on the product page only shows what actually exists.
We do not publish a chest-and-length table, because we do not have measurement sheets we would stand behind for every style, and inventing them would be worse than leaving them out. Email us with a style name and a size and we will get the measurement from the maker before you buy.

How ordering here actually works
Our sweaters are made and held by a knitwear supplier in China and ship from that warehouse to your address. That is why delivery takes 11 to 17 business days rather than three. Import duties are already in the price, so nothing is billed when the parcel arrives. Returns come back to Georgia, not overseas.
